I’ve never been very good at traveling just to “check a place off the list.”

What interests me most are the details that happen in between, the quiet moments during long drives, border crossings that feel slightly chaotic, conversations with locals, weather that changes the mood of a place completely, and the small observations that somehow stay with you longer than the major attractions.

This blog is a collection of those experiences.

You’ll find stories from wildlife trips, road trips, photography adventures, and the occasional unexpected detour. Some days involve mountain roads, beach life, volcanoes, or gorilla trekking. Other days are simply good food, interesting architecture, or standing somewhere thinking, “This planet is amazing!”

I’m a lifelong equestrian, photographer, traveler, and someone who genuinely enjoys understanding how places work beyond the polished version shown online. I tend to notice logistics, atmosphere, personalities, and the reality of travel as much as the destination itself.

No influencer checklists. No exaggerated “life changing” moments every five minutes. Just honest experiences, thoughtful observations, the stories that unfolded naturally, and the kind of memories that stay with you long after the trip ends.

Thanks for being here.
